Munich will be looking to set down a marker against their Spanish opponents as they look to open up Group F with a win before relatively less difficult ties against Lille and BATE.

Ribery and Robben were both missing for Bayern Munich’s 3-1 win over Mainz 05 last Saturday in the Bundesliga through muscle problems, but they have since returned to training and aree expected to be included.

Munich manager Jupp Heynckes has revealed that former Athletic Bilbao midfielder Javi Martinez is ready to play, while Lukas Raeder, Mario Gomez, Diego Contento and David Alaba are all missing with leg injuries.

Valencia have named a 20-man squad for the trip to Germany with a number of talented youngsters ready to take their chance.

Youth team players Carlos Delgado and Cristian Portugues have both been named in the squad and will be looking to impress if given the chance.

One player who will not be in action is Argentine midfielder Fernando Gago after he picked up a severe bang to the head while on international duty with his country.
