The Black Eagles' visit has come too soon for Hoops' midfielders Beram Kayal and Joe Ledley, who have failed to recover from injury in time.

Striker Georgios Samaras, winger Paddy McCourt and midfielder Filip Twardzik also remain in the treatment room.

Thankfully for Neil Lennon's side, captain Scott Brown, who is dealing with an ongoing hip problem, and Charlie Mulgrew came through their returns to action against St Johnstone in the SPL at the weekend unscathed and are available.

Venezuela international Miku, on loan from Getafe, and former Deportivo striker Lassad Nouioui are also included in the squad.

Benfica have their own injury concerns with captain Luisao and playmaker Carlos Martins out, while fellow defender Maxi Pereira is suspended.
