Patrice Evra is set to return for the Red Devils having recovered from injury. The 31-year-old suffered a knock while on international duty with France and missed his side's weekend Premier League triumph over Wigan.
Striker Robin van Persie and Japan's Shinji Kagawa are also available, as is Darren Fletcher who has been out of action since Novermber 2011.
Galatasaray meanwhile, will be without the services of injured defenders Tomas Ujfalusi and Sabri Sarioglu.
The Turkish club's coach Fatih Terim is under no illusions as to the quality of the opposition. Terim told the media ahead of the game, "Manchester United have been so successful in the Champions League for many years.
"I was there when they beat Bayern Munich in the (1999) final and they have won many more important games apart from that.
"What happened last season was a surprise, but maybe it will just make them even more motivated."
