Russian Premier League champions Zenit St Petersburg kick off their 2012-13 Champions League Group C campaign with a tricky tie to Malaga.
Malaga are part of the La Liga in Spain, but often got lost behind the likes of Barcelona, Read Madrid, Valencia and even Atletico Madrid and Osasuna.
This season they will be looking to show they are not just making up the numbers and make a serious crack at reaching the knockout stage.
They do face a tough ask as they go up against Zenit St Petersburg, AC Milan and Anderlecht but the team sat in third place in La Liga this season will not bow down to anyone.
Having finished fourth in Spain, Malaga entered the competition at the play-off round stage and they did well to claim a 2-0 aggregate win over Panathinaikos having done the damage on home soil.
Zenit St Petersburg are currently the dominant force in Russian football. They won the title by two points, ahead of CSKA Moscow, last season and are currently top of the pile this time around with 16 points from seven matches.
Zenit have yet to play in the Champions League season but they will be raring to go after making two world class signings this month.
The Russians have captured Brazil international Hulk from FC Porto and Benfica midfielder Alex Witsel. They have both signed five-year deals with the club and will be ready for some Champions League action.
There is not much splitting these two on the betting market with Malaga on offer at 6/4 with
Bet365 and Zenit available at 7/4. The draw can be backed at 23/10.
